One of five mans suffers from male menopause

One of five men suffers from man’s menopause, characterized by weakening of libido and the general decline of vital energy somewhere at the age of 65 years, scientists from Mjunstersky university (Germany) speak.

It is known man’s menopause as andropause. Its symptoms include depression, muscular weakness and addition in weight. Recent researches have shown, that the given disease can be connected with adipose and a diabetes.

Arising at age falling of level testosterone, andropause from which 20 % of men suffer, can be cured therapy on replacement of hormones (hormone replacement therapy), assures scientists.

Eberhard Nishlag, the expert in andrology, from Mjunstersky university in Germany, is assured, that men with symptoms of deficiency of level testosterone should be checked at the doctor. They should not write off all on aging.

Nishlag speaks: “It can be depression, weariness, decrease in sexual interest, fragility of bones - all these factors can speak about a lack testosterone in blood”.

“Age decrease in level тестостерона is a reality”, - speaks Adrian Dobs from John Hopkins’s university in Baltimore, Maryland, adding thus, that if at the man the given signs it is necessary to appoint treatment are found out.

Growing unanimity about the fact of existence man’s menopause has induced a large quantity of the organizations worldwide including International association on research of man’s ageing, International andrologyies community and European urological association, to recommend to test men.

In particular they call all suffering a diabetes and having deficiency symptoms testosterone to be checked at corresponding experts, informs magazine New Scientist. It will allow to reveal much more quantity of the men, suffering a level lack testosterone.

“It should reveal set of men with low level testosterone which before houses simply would sit and have gone to the doctor”, - Hju Johns from Shefildsky university speaks.

Set of researches connect low level testosterone with adiposity and a diabetes, though scientists say what too early to say that hormonotherapy can improve a condition of the people suffering from the given illness.

Recent researches also have shown, that men with low level testosterone die earlier, than men, whose level of the given hormone is in norm limits.
